Often Jesus and his disciples took time to get away from the normal busyness of their daily activities. For the past 16 years a few of the saints have come away over the weekend of Easter to a secluded spot in the nearby San Bernardino Mountains to spend three days together apart from the multitudes and daily burdens for a time of reflection, refreshment, recreation, Christian encouragement and fellowship at the Oak Glen Christian Conference Center.

Oak Glen Christian Conference Center is located in the San Bernardino Mountains at the 5200 foot level, just above Yucaipa and Beaumont in Southern California. It is part of the community of Oak Glen and is surrounded by beautiful pine, cedar, and oak trees. Spring days are usually warm with cool nights and occasionally some snow depending on when Easter falls.

The facilities have accommodations for young people in dorms and for families in private rooms.  Recreation facilities include softball, miniature golf, rock wall climbing, and hiking. A unique full court gymnasium is available which can be opened to the outside and provides for volleyball, basketball, ping-pong, foosball, and the ever popular British bulldog.

The weekend begins with a meeting Thursday evening and ends with an afternoon meeting on Saturday.  Meetings are held after breakfast, and before and after dinner.  Ample free time is available throughout the rest of the day for children’s crafts, women’s crafts, recreation, or just relaxing.  Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the dining hall where a talented food-service staff makes a special effort to provide delicious, well-balanced meals.  Meals are served cafeteria style with plenty of food for everyone.

During free time, you can visit the bookstore and browse through the well-stocked selection of Christian books, music, gifts, and apparel. Inspirational greeting cards, pictures, and other notions are also available for purchase. Some toiletries and other necessities are also in stock.
